Regional Nights

Sosta Cucina prides on differentiating itself from other Italian restaurants, by offering regular regional nights, where we tour through the culinary regions of Italy. From Sicily to Piemonte, the night is made up of 5 or 6 courses with matching wines, dedicated to the region explored. Special guests speakers are always present to ensure patrons are educated about the region and its culinary offerings. We ensure that the best available produce from the region is sourced, matched with the regions finest wine offerings.

Valentine's Day
Tuesday 14th February 2012 @ $80 p.p.

Spoil that someone special in your life this Valentine's day, with a night to remember at Sosta. We have compiled a 4 course dinner at $80 per person.

Fattori Veneto Wine Dinner
Thursday 16th February @ 7pm @ $110 p.p.

It is with great excitement that we announce our first wine dinner of 2012: with guest Antonio Fattori joining us, showcasing 4 whites and 2 reds, including the king of Italian wine Amarone. The menu typically has a Veneto theme which will complement the wines superbly.

The cost is $110 per person all inclusive. See menu attached.

Curly Flat New Release Pinot Noir Dinner
Wednesday 29th February @ 7pm

Last year's dinner was such a success that Jenny and Phillip from Curly Flat vineyard in Macedon asked us again to showcase their new release 2009 Pinot Noir alongside some back vintages and other varietals.

Melbourne Food and Wine Festival Express Lunch
March 2nd to March 21st

Since 1993, the annual Melbourne Food & Wine Festival has been growing from strength to strength. Now there's over 250 events stimulating the palates of over 300,000 people in a short 2 week period, attracting food and wine lovers from all over the world, both in attendance and show casing their products. This is your chance to be part of it all, with many events are already sold out, so please be quick.

Our Melbourne Food & Wine Festival Express Lunch will be available from March 2nd to 21st. It's a 3 course menu of Sosta Cucina's Autumn classics. For $35 you can have 2 courses and a glass of Victorian wine (3 courses $45).

Due to the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival our Cucina Povera menu will not be running between March 2nd to 21st and will return on Thursday 22nd March, after the MFWF has concluded.


The Inaugural Offal dinner at Sosta Cucina
Wednesday 14th of March at 7pm

We have been talking about this for a few years now as our Offal of the Day has been very popular (with most of you!) so we have finally pulled our finger out and made it happen.

We will be limiting the dinner to 20 people in our private room and we will be doing a six course dinner with matching wines.

Easter Sunday Lunch
Sunday 8th April 2012

As always, our annual Easter lunch will take place this year. Expect 4 fabulous courses, keeping Italian tradition and Sosta flare. Menu and cost to follow shortly.


Alto Adige Regional Dinner
Wednesday the 18th of April

The first of our regional dinners for 2012 and some extra excitement around this one as it's a first for this region being Alto Adige. Born and bred in Bolzano, Martin Schafer from Enoteca Sileno will be giving us a history lesson and background on the region, as well as showcasing what this exciting region has to offer as far as wine is concerned.
