In the heart of North Melbourne’s burgeoning food precinct sits Sosta Cucina, a welcoming space delivering fine Italian cuisine with warm and familiar service.

Since opening its doors in May 2007, Sosta Cucina has consistently impressed and excited Melbourne’s food community with a traditional meets contemporary Italian menu.

Sosta Cucina’s menu is constantly evolving; incorporating the best seasonal produce as well as showcasing fantastic Italian products. On offer is a selection of daily additional dishes depending on what is sourced at the market! Sosta prides itself on a great selection of fine Italian wines as well as offering a broad selection from Australia’s most renowned wine regions.

Some of the most delicious aromatic white wines of Europe - or anywhere for that matter - come from the northern half of Italy's far-north region, the Alto-Adige. And these are supported by some wonderful light, fresh reds, and then on the other spectrum, dark, brooding, dense reds that will keep for many years.

The regions structure provides the framework for some of Europe's most exciting and often undiscovered wines.

At 7pm on Tuesday the 7th of February we welcome Tobias Zingere from Erste+Neue Winery in Alto Adige & Peter Johns from Primavera Wine Selections. We will be showcasing E + N wines from Alto Adige & Tobias will be discussing them in detail matched with four courses typical of the ‘Cucina Altoaltesina’.
